This mindmap illustrates how we come up with the solution of EasyWay to solve the problem of enabling the development of soft mobility. With this mindmap, we clarify who we are going to benefit, what kind of resources we need during designing this applicaiton, which organizations we should build partnership with and what kind of benefits we can get from this project.
EasyWay is a shared bicycle system based on a fixed place where people can rent bicycle for a long-term period. The user can book it for a specific period, according to personal needs. There are different types of bicycle, including mountain bikes and speed, being electric or not.
EasyWay tends to offer an affordable, eco-friendly way of transportation with large autonomy for the users. By offering such solution, we want to help promote the development of the soft mobility. EasyWay also cares about the intereste of studetns, and we plan to cooperate with the univeristies and offer students, especially those who don't stay for a long time, with more flexible and affordable bike renting expereinces.

After we developed the mockups, we conducted several user tests and gather feedback from end-users.

According to the feedback, we decided to widen our target range from only students in university, to all kinds of temporary residents. These are people, who want to have a convenient and green mean of transport while staying in a city only for a period of time. Meanwhile, we keep the partnership with universities, and offer the students with a special discount.
Apart from our key feature, we added more features such as statistics, events, insurance options, maintenance and assistance after the first round user test. These functions help create better user experience and retain more customers to use soft mobility.
APIs are essential to our project, because we have many functions that rely on the interactions with other applications. They would allows us to exchange data with universities to verify a student account, or with the bank to validate a payment, or with the partner companies to have access about their products and activities.
There would be many databases involved in our projects. We would have correspondent databases for information about our users, our bikes, our physical stations, and also maybe we need to connect to the databases of our partners such as the universities, and other brands and enterprises we may have cooperation with.
As we have the function of showing the closest stations for our customers to pick up the bikes, we will also need to use GPS to locate the customers and maybe artificial intelligence to plan an optimal route to the stations.
Our main tool is the mobile application, meanwhile we plan to have website as subsidiary. We choose mobile app because for our customers is more comfortable to use an app than a website.
EasyWay can solve the long-term bike rent problem for temporary residents and promote soft-mobility in cities.Meanwhile, it has the competitive advantages of long-term rent strategy, full right to use during the renting period, and the stable clients flow from the universities.
Today we can see fast development of rent service market. Also, there are few main competitors on every global market. On the one hand, we are respect our competitors and ready to learn many things form them. On the other hand, we are ready we are ready to compete for market share. We confident that our project will be relevant because of our unique features and friend-relationship with our users.
